"John, yes, I did go to the conference, and it was fantastically practical. I enjoyed every moment of it. The church was also very hospitable. Michael is truly a gifted teacher. On Sunday I did a prelude to communion.

Our vision is: To impact lives with the power of God's Word through teaching and the performing arts.

Jesus used parables to tell people about the Kingdom of God.  He always began them with, "The Kingdom of God is like…" Our hope is that, like Christ's stories, Parables…Tell It Like It Is.

Parables is able to come along side your ministry to support the vision God has for the local church.  How can we do that?  It's easy because we work for the same God.  We promote His agenda, not ours.  Our heart is only to show people that, contrary to popular opinion, God's Word works! 

Have you found that there are too many believers, as well as non-believers, who don't trust that hearing and obeying God's Word will actually do them any good?  Through teaching and the performing arts, we demonstrate, in practical ways, the life changing power and integrity of the Word of God.

People’s lives do not have to be destroyed.  It's easy to win with God.  With the Maker of all creation on our side…we just can't lose!
 

Our only aim is to express the love of God to those who are lost or hurting, to believers and non-believers, that all may be drawn closer to our heavenly Father.  All glory and honor be to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  AMEN.

Michael's teachings from the Bible usually include illustrations though storytelling and drama making them effective for all ages.  Michael's desire is to show the Father’s heart of grace toward His children thereby setting the atmosphere for being able to explain why God leads us to walk in His ways.

PERFORMING ARTS MINISTRY WORKSHOPS

Storytelling Workshops

In the workshop, The Art of Storytelling, Michael instructs pastors, teachers, students, or anyone how to take Bible verses and turn them into storytelling that impresses the mind and heart indelibly with lessons found in God’s Word.  Jesus was the master storyteller, and He never taught without using the method of parables.  This step-by-step process is easy to learn and easy to use for building stories that will captivate listeners.
 

A second workshop, which covers performance techniques, equips participants with valuable and easy to learn tools for the effective delivery of stories.

A third workshop presents the method called Bible Telling, a simplified storytelling technique for sharing the stories of the Bible in chronological order.  This method of sharing the Good News has been used on the mission fields for decades and is now being used in the U.S.

Drama Workshops

Let Michael raise up a new drama team for you or "raise the level of play" for your existing team.  Workshops are offered for basic and intermediate skills in church drama that will increase the effectiveness of your outreach efforts.  Learn practical and effective improvisation skills.  Perhaps you just want a "coach" to help develop an idea that you already have for a drama?  Give Michael a call.

Pastor, give us your sermon notes and Michael will help your drama team build an improvisation to help illustrate and drive the point of your sermon home like never before.  You won’t have to rehearse with your drama team, either.

Bible School Class – Drama and Storytelling as Ministry Tools

Age-old methods used by God for changing the hearts of peasants and kings are still major tools for giving the church much-needed relevancy today.  However, few churches that have a Bible school to equip believers for the ministry offer a course in drama or storytelling.  Add this lesson to your Bible school curriculum.  Michael covers scriptural foundations of God's purpose for the performing arts, examples in the OT and NT of His usage of them, and how you can incorporate a variety of performing arts methods into your church's services, outreaches, and more.
